According to BlockBeats, Farside Investors reported on September 18 that US Bitcoin spot ETFs saw a net inflow of $159.5 million yesterday, with IBIT seeing a net inflow of $183.7 million.
The Ethereum ETF saw a net outflow of $39.3 million, with ETHA experiencing a net outflow of $42.9 million.
According to BlockBeats, on September 18, David Hoffman, co-founder of Bankless, wrote that NEAR can be seen as a generalized version of ZEC: ZEC primarily provides privacy protection for funds, while NEAR focuses on providing privacy protection for business activities.
He pointed out that ZEC in the privacy pool cannot keep users' other aspects of their lives private, while NEAR can be used for privacy scenarios other than funds.
According to BlockBeats, on September 18th, Haseeb Qureshi, Managing Partner of Dragonfly, stated regarding the Zcash Development Fund controversy that the Zcash community has positioned itself as a "crypto Bitcoin" and refuses to add further functionality to the protocol. To become a reliable store of value, Zcash ultimately needs protocol solidification, but currently, it still requires advancements in Tachyon, quantum resistance, and comprehensive formal verification to counter AI network attacks. Therefore, solidification is not suitable for the next one to two years.
The development fund played a necessary role in the development of Zcash during a period lacking private funding, and it will expire in 2028 under current rules. However, with the significant increase in ZEC prices, the fund has expanded by an order of magnitude; once the fund exceeds $100 million, it will inevitably become institutionalized and face the risk of its grant mechanism being politicized.
He advocates maintaining the development fund for now to complete the remaining technical work before the protocol becomes fixed, but this round should be the last. Once Zcash meets the conditions for fixed status, the fund should gradually end, rather than continuing to seek new funded projects; subsequent development needs can be raised spontaneously by token holders and ecosystem supporters, just like with Bitcoin.
Regarding governance, Haseeb opposes relying solely on token holders for voting, arguing that value stores require policy predictability and that pure token governance is too volatile. He supports limited token holder participation and believes that while committee governance has its flaws, it may be a more viable solution. Haseeb also disclosed that Dragonfly holds ZEC and he himself is an investor in ZODL, but ZODL will not directly benefit from the development fund.
