Morgan Stanley's assessment is not simply a bullish cyclical view. The bank acknowledges that DRAM price increases may begin to slow from the fourth quarter, inventories are rising, and new supply is gradually entering the market, making it more difficult to continue significantly exceeding earnings expectations in the future. However, AI demand remains strong, and cloud vendors generally report insufficient computing power supply. Recent stock price fluctuations following earnings reports from SanDisk and Western Digital indicate that AI storage transactions have entered a more discerning phase. Morgan Stanley remains biased towards DRAM and traditional memory categories, including DDR4 and NAND SLC, which face the most significant demand bottlenecks, while maintaining a relatively cautious stance towards memory module manufacturers.
