According to BlockBeats, Yonhap News Agency reported on August 12 that South Korea's Second Special Prosecutor's Team indicted former President Yoon Seok-youl and former National Security Advisor Shin Won-shik on charges of disseminating information "justifying martial law." This brings the total number of criminal cases against Yoon Seok-youl to nine.
The special investigation team stated that Yoon Seok-yueh is suspected of abusing his power to obstruct the exercise of rights, namely, abusing his power to order public officials to perform non-obligatory work, immediately after announcing the "December 3" emergency martial law declaration.
According to BlockBeats, on August 12th, Cole Villemain, co-founder of Robinhood who was ousted by the "Fat Penguin" community in a vote in January 2022, launched an NFT series called Spritehood on the Robinhood blockchain. The total supply of 44,444 NFTs sold out in less than an hour. It is estimated that this NFT series will generate $1.28 million in revenue for Cole.
This event sparked heated discussions within the NFT community. Crypto artist Beeple posted a meme today saying "Robinhood Chain saved NFTs," and this tweet received a positive response from Robinhood co-founder Vlad Tenev, who said, "Someone has to do this."
This has reignited the hype surrounding NFTs on the Robinhood blockchain. Tonight, the once-glorious NFT series The Saudis announced the release of a new NFT on the Robinhood blockchain. This announcement was well-received by the community, causing the series' floor price to quickly rise from 0.028 ETH to 0.15 ETH. However, due to its long period of inactivity, the trading volume of this NFT remains low, and the price surge is not expected to be sustainable.
With the addition of Stonebroker, which has a strong connection to the Bored Ape community (its creators and NFT holders largely overlap with the Bored Ape community), several star projects in the Ethereum mainnet ecosystem have successfully relaunched on the Robinhood chain. However, the key to the sustainability of this NFT craze may lie in the continued innovation and dedication of its creators.
