Analysis: Gold suffered a rare drop in 20 years, surging US bond yields disturb the precious metals market
Odaily Planet Daily Report: The Kobeissi Letter posted on X platform stating that gold prices plummeted, recording a very rare single-day drop in nearly 20 years. Since 2006, the average daily fluctuation of gold has been an increase of 0.05%, with a standard deviation of 1.19%. The drop today corresponds to a Z-value of -2.90, which is in the extreme left tail of the return distribution. The Kobeissi Letter added that, according to normal distribution estimates, the probability of such a single-day drop of this magnitude is about 0.2%, or once every two years on average. Analysts believe that the sharp rise in US Treasury yields is causing abnormal shocks to the precious metals market.
Two QNT whales' addresses, which had been inactive for more than three years, began to sell off, transferring approximately $4 million in tokens to CEX.
BlockBeats message, September 29, according to Lookonchain monitoring, due to the recent surge in QNT's price, some large whales who have been inactive for more than three years have become active and sold.

Odaily Planet Daily News: According to Lookonchain, after QNT's recent rise, large whales that had been inactive for over 3 years have started to sell. One large whale deposited 8,250 QNT into Binance, worth $1.88 million; another large whale transferred 34,200 QNT, worth $8.05 million, and has already deposited 9,000 QNT into Coinbase and Kraken, worth $2.12 million.
