According to BlockBeats, on July 24, Bitget data showed that South Korean KOSPI fell by 5.61%, Samsung fell by more than 6%, and SK Hynix fell by 5.52%.
According to BlockBeats, on July 24th, Hyperinsight monitoring showed that during the sharp rise in oil prices last night and this morning, trader Loracle experienced two forced liquidations, resulting in the liquidation of approximately 106,500 short positions in WTIOIL (WTI crude oil). The average liquidation price was approximately $92.3, with a total value of approximately $9.8312 million. The two forced liquidations resulted in a total loss of approximately $681,200, marking the largest liquidation on the entire network within 24 hours.
Approximately 12 minutes after the forced liquidation, the account resumed shorting. As of press time, the account held 27,700 short positions in WTIOIL with a leverage of 3, an average entry price of $92.2, a position value of approximately $2.547 million, and a liquidation price of approximately $155.05; the unrealized profit was approximately $14,400, representing a return of approximately 1.68%. The current position is only about one-quarter of its pre-liquidation size.
At the same time, it placed 19 sell orders in the range of $93.4 to $95.2, which were not for reducing positions, planning to add another 15,000 contracts to its short position, with an order amount of approximately $1.425 million, and continue to short on any rebound; if all of them are filled, its WTIOIL short position will increase to 42,874,228 contracts, with a nominal size of approximately $3.9725 million.
In terms of news, the Houthi rebels in Yemen announced attacks on two Saudi oil tankers, and the market began to factor in the risk of simultaneous disruption of two shipping routes, the Red Sea and the Strait of Hormuz; Trump subsequently stated that he was considering resuming large-scale military action against Iran; WTI crude oil rose to a high of $93.

According to BlockBeats, on July 24, sources revealed that the Bank of Japan is shifting its focus to whether businesses are passing on rising cost pressures to households, and will continue to warn at next week's policy meeting that inflation may remain above the 2% target level for an extended period.
Sources say the Bank of Japan is expected to signal that the risk of a short-term inflationary shock triggered by rising oil prices has eased since April, but overall price pressures still warrant attention.
Furthermore, the Bank of Japan is likely to maintain its current policy guidance, namely, to continue its interest rate hike path. The market expects the Bank of Japan to determine the pace of subsequent monetary policy adjustments based on wage growth, service prices, and corporate pricing behavior.
