BlockBeats reminds users that the prices of related tokens are highly volatile, and users should exercise caution when investing.
According to BlockBeats, on September 15th, the Balancer governance forum released a proposal for an orderly exit from operations, suggesting ceasing new business expansion, phasing out protocol services, and shutting down the DAO within legal and practical limits. This proposal has not yet taken effect and a snapshot vote is scheduled for September 25th to 29th.
If the proposal passes, the liquidity pools that can be suspended will enter a withdrawal-only state on October 30th, and other pools will set protocol fees to zero when the contract allows; the contributor notification period ends on October 31st. The DAO Treasury is currently valued at at least $9 million based on the token price, and after deducting the exit budget, it will be distributed proportionally to BAL holders based on its original assets.
The first round of allocation is scheduled to begin at the end of May 2027. Holders will need to burn BAL to receive their corresponding treasury shares, with a claim period of 6 months. The second round will allocate unused budget, new revenue, and unclaimed portions to addresses that participated in the first round. The final liquidation is planned to be completed by the end of July 2028. The plan also proposes to cancel the BIP-919 repurchase program and set a maximum exit budget of $400,000. Funds recovered from the previous attack will not be included in the treasury allocation and will continue to belong to the affected liquidity providers.
