Bitget now supports 39 new stock tokens as collateral for staking and lending.
According to an official announcement, Bitget's staking and lending platform has added support for 39 new stock tokens (rTokens) as collateral. These newly added tokens include popular US stocks and ETFs such as rAMD, rSMH, rARM, and rSKHY, covering diverse sectors including semiconductors, finance, healthcare, and energy. Users holding these stock tokens can now use them as collateral to borrow mainstream assets such as USDT and USDC, freeing up liquidity without selling their holdings. The web-based functionality is already available, and the app version is expected to launch this week. For specific collateral parameters and more details, please refer to the official Bitget platform. It is understood that rTokens, identified by the letter 'r' followed by a stock code (e.g., rNVDA for Nvidia), are issued by Reality, Bitget's licensed RWA protocol, and connect directly to global liquidity pools such as Nasdaq and the NYSE through a partnership with compliant brokerage firm Alpaca. Its features include: 1:1 reserves of underlying assets held in custody by a licensed custodian; 1:1 distribution of stock dividends in token form; support for synchronized mapping of corporate actions (such as stock splits and consolidations); and the ability for holdings to serve as joint margin for unified accounts and USDT-based contracts, allowing users to flexibly manage their funds while holding global stock assets.
BTC long-short holding ratio hits 30-month high, with long-term holders continuing to accumulate.
According to BlockBeats, on July 15th, crypto market analyst gaah cited CryptoQuant data to report that the ratio of BTC long-term holders (LTH) to short-term holders (STH) has risen to a 30-month high. This metric measures the distribution of Bitcoin supply between long-term and short-term holders.
Analysis indicates that extreme highs in this indicator typically do not occur at the peak of market frenzy, but rather during a re-accumulation phase. Historically, bull market tops often occur when this indicator begins to decline from its highs, rather than when it reaches new highs. Currently, with the price of BTC still approximately 50% lower than its previous all-time high, long-term holders continue to absorb circulating supply.
"Whale Tracking": SK Hynix whales give up nearly 90% of their unrealized profits, closing out $9 million in short positions.
According to BlockBeats, on July 15th, Hyperinsight monitoring showed that a whale with the stock code 0x4c7, which had previously shorted SK Hynix (SKHX) during the "week of fate" for the South Korean semiconductor market, has closed all its short positions today. The average price at which it opened the position was approximately $1,453.
The short position was closed out for approximately $9.0325 million, with an average closing price of approximately $1,424.47. This whale only recorded a profit of approximately $230,000 in this round of closing out today; considering its earlier partial profit-taking, its net profit was approximately $560,000.
On July 14th, around noon, when SKHX hit a low of $1,146.40, the position's unrealized profit reached approximately $1.991 million. Subsequently, SKHX rebounded strongly, causing the unrealized profit to shrink rapidly. The whale ultimately chose to liquidate its position near its cost basis.
"Whale Discovery" - One major address shorted South Korean semiconductor stocks during a "week of doom," with short positions in Samsung and SK Hynix totaling $14.8 million.
Binance will launch ten bStocks tokenized stock trading pairs, including Alibaba and Robinhood.
According to BlockBeats, on July 15th, Binance will open ten bStocks tokenized stock trading pairs at 21:30 on July 15, 2026, including Applied Optoelectronics (AAOIB), Arm (ARMB), Broadcom (AVGOB), Alibaba (BABAB), Robinhood (HOODB), IBM (IBMB), Marvell Technology (MRVLB), Nokia (NOKB), Rocket Lab (RKLBB), and TSMC (TSMB), and will simultaneously support spot algorithmic trading bots.
The transaction fees for the above transactions will be waived until 23:59 on August 31, 2026.
South Korean media: Samsung is secretly studying the feasibility of listing in the US; the company previously denied such plans.
According to a report by South Korean media outlet Bloter, sources revealed that Samsung Electronics has begun internal research into various options for issuing American Depositary Receipts (ADRs) in the United States and is evaluating the relevant operational procedures. Bloomberg reported on July 14 that Samsung Electronics had held preliminary discussions with several investment banks regarding a potential US listing via ADRs, but Samsung Electronics responded that it had not considered listing in the US market through ADRs. However, market analysts believe that Samsung Electronics' denial does not mean that the possibility of issuing ADRs in the future has been completely ruled out. Despite the company's denial, under management's direction, relevant business units have begun evaluating the potential costs, benefits, and required procedures for issuing ADRs. Semiconductor industry sources revealed on July 15 that company management recently asked relevant departments to study whether a feasible structure suitable for the company's ADR issuance could be designed. As part of the study, Samsung Electronics personnel have consulted with SK Hynix, which recently completed its ADR issuance and listed on Nasdaq. (Jinshi)
