Zcash's founder agrees that "Zcash is not a cryptocurrency, but a currency."
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Zcash founder Zooko Wilcox stated on the X platform that he supports the new Zcash slogan proposed by community member Jeremiah Rogers: "Zcash is not a cryptocurrency, it is a currency."

Ark Invest increased its holdings of Coinbase stock by $8 million and Circle stock by $1.4 million yesterday.
According to Odaily Planet Daily, Cathie Wood's Ark Invest bought approximately $8 million worth of Coinbase stock and approximately $1.4 million worth of Circle Internet Group stock on Monday.
Hashdex has announced that it will close and liquidate the Hashdex Bitcoin ETF, with August 17th being the last trading day.
BlockBeats reported on August 4th that Hashdex announced plans to close and liquidate its Hashdex Bitcoin ETF (DeFi). As of July 30th, the fund had approximately $14.7 million in assets under management and was the only fund under the Hashdex Commodities Trust. Hashdex stated that its other products targeting US investors currently have over $200 million in assets under management.
Investors can sell fund units through the NYSE Arca before the market closes on August 17. The fund will then cease accepting subscription orders from authorized participants after that date, subsequently ceasing trading and delisting. Shareholders who continue to hold until the market closes on August 17 are expected to receive cash settlement payments around August 28.
After the final trading day, the fund will sell its remaining Bitcoin holdings and will no longer pursue its original investment objectives. Instead, it will focus on liquidation, debt repayment, and distribution of remaining assets to shareholders.
Shareholders will receive liquidation proceeds based on the fund's net asset value per unit on the liquidation date, minus fund closure and transaction costs. Hashdex cautions that the price of Bitcoin may fluctuate significantly during the fund's sale of Bitcoin, potentially affecting the final distribution amount.
Serenity: Citadel first created interest rate hike panic, then bought AI assets at low prices; the long-term upward trend in the market remains unchanged.
Odaily Planet Daily reports that Serenity, a prominent stock market strategist, wrote on X that Citadel's recent actions have been quite dramatic. A few days ago, Citadel called for a surprise interest rate hike by the Federal Reserve, triggering market panic. Subsequently, when Leopold Aschenbrenner's Situational Awareness fund faced liquidity pressures, Citadel stepped in to buy billions of dollars worth of AI-related assets that were forced to be sold. Serenity stated that the Fed ultimately did not raise rates, and Citadel later stated that "the bull market drivers remain intact." Previous reports indicated that the Situational Awareness fund was impacted by the market downturn due to leveraged positions, experiencing a significant drop in net asset value in July and selling part of its publicly traded equity portfolio to meet margin requirements. Citadel subsequently acquired some of these assets at a discount. Serenity believes that the long-term upward trend in the market remains unchanged, and this event is more like an asset reallocation occurring during the process of deleveraging.
