PANews 5月14日消息，据Decrypt报道，英国央行执行董事Sasha Mills表示，英国央行将稳定币视为“一种新形式的货币”，不会在代币化存款和稳定币之间“挑选赢家”。Mills称，英国央行将于年底开放“系统性稳定币”的申请，这类稳定币广泛用于支付，可能对金融稳定构成风险，将由央行监管。金融行为监管局支付与数字资产总监Matthew Long表示，其他稳定币由FCA监管，英镑计价的稳定币仍有发挥作用的空间。Mills还指出，全球99%的稳定币以美元计价且不符合美国GENIUS法案，英国在时间表上与美国同步。
