PANews 4月3日消息，据The Block报道，Circle推出封装比特币代币cirBTC，按1:1比例由比特币支持，旨在为机构提供“高度安全和中立的封装BTC版本”。该代币将首先在以太坊主网和Circle孵化的Arc Layer1上发行，并全面集成Circle现有技术栈，包括Arc区块链和Circle Mint平台。Circle表示cirBTC适合场外交易平台、做市商、借贷协议等需要中立、安全、高性能代币化比特币的机构。目前市场上已有多种封装比特币代币，包括长期合作伙伴Coinbase发行的cbBTC，而最早的wBTC因与孙宇晨关联的实体参与引发部分机构削减敞口。
