Pixelverse Expands Beyond Telegram Tap-to-Earn to Web3 Social Arcade on Base and Farcaster

Pixelverse, the Web3 gaming outfit that scaled rapidly through simple tap-to-earn titles on Telegram, is making a deliberate move deeper into the onchain world. The team today unveiled Pixelverse Arcade, launching on the Base network with social integration via Farcaster, a shift that turns ephemeral chats and casual gameplay into persistent, ownable digital collectibles.

The new Arcade layer unifies player identity and progression across all Pixelverse titles. Every in-game action will count toward a seasonal Battle Pass, with rewards, items and achievements recorded onchain so players retain real ownership of what they earn. Pixelverse says the aim is to move beyond fleeting mobile metrics and give its community persistent progression that lives on public networks.

The first title to appear in the Arcade is Storychain, a collaborative storytelling game built on Farcaster. An AI agent hosted by Pixelverse sets rules for each thread; users reply to add short fragments, and when a chain concludes, the resulting story is minted as an NFT on Base. Contributors to the chain are credited onchain, and completed stories are organized into collections tied to Pixelverse’s meme partners. Leaderboards and rewards paid in the platform’s native token, $PIXFI, are expected to drive participation and trading activity.

“Storychain takes everyday conversation and turns it into both a game and an onchain asset,” said Kori Leon, co-founder of Pixelverse. “It’s the first step toward a category of games only possible on open networks like Base and Farcaster.”

From Tap-to-Earn to Onchain Ownership

Pixelverse’s move reflects a noticeable evolution of its community. The company scaled fast through Telegram, where its tap-to-earn titles reached tens of millions of users. Pixelverse cites a peak of 27 million monthly active users from its Telegram-native products and claims 50 million players across its Telegram catalogue overall. Now the focus is on growing a more Web3-native audience by embedding gameplay and collectibles directly into blockchain networks and social layers.

To accelerate that transition, Pixelverse has integrated directly with meme-native Base communities such as Toshi, Ski Mask Dog, Mr. Mingles, and Brett. On Base, those communities will be able to engage via collectibles and seasonal rewards; Farcaster acts as the social distribution layer where games like Storychain turn public threads into shared play. The company also plans to deploy the $PIXFI token on Base, linking gameplay rewards, trading activity, and community mechanics to the same networks.

Pixelverse was founded in 2024 and is backed by investors including Delphi Ventures, Mechanism Capital, Merit Circle, and the Gate.io Meme Fund. The new Arcade represents a clear bet: that casual social play can be upgraded with onchain ownership and community tooling, without losing the low-friction appeal that drew millions to its Telegram titles.

Industry observers will be watching whether Pixelverse can translate the scale of its Telegram audience into active, spendful participants on Base and Farcaster, networks that demand more Web3 fluency from users but offer richer possibilities for persistent collectibles and composable gameplay. For players, Storychain offers a tidy promise: take part in everyday conversation, and leave with something you can prove you helped create.
