Interesting! Great to see more work on figuring out better tree structures, and good to see the verkle work getting used and adapted more. Always important to remember that the status quo MPT is something I came up with when I was 19 and thought I was an expert because I had done well at CS 145 in uwaterloo some months earlier, but in reality I was too dumb to realize you can pack multiple binary tree nodes into one database entry. So yes, you can do better :P Of course, you do need to think about what happens when quantum comes along...
