According to BlockBeats, on June 27, the Israeli Army Radio reported that the Israeli military will reduce its troops stationed in southern Lebanon and withdraw several combat brigades.
According to BlockBeats, on June 27, the Hong Kong government stated in a written reply to the Legislative Council that the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) granted stablecoin issuer licenses to two banking institutions in April 2026. Based on the existing business plans of the two institutions, a regulated stablecoin in Hong Kong is expected to be launched between mid- and second-half of this year.
The Hong Kong government stated that the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) has sent letters to unregulated entities operating stablecoin issuance businesses explaining the legal requirements and will continue to follow up on these cases. If necessary, individual cases can be referred to the police or the Department of Justice. The government also indicated that it will submit a bill to the Legislative Council this year to establish a regulatory framework for providers of virtual asset trading, custody, advisory, and management services.
According to BlockBeats, on June 27th, the trade dispute between Apple and memory chip giants such as Micron and SK Hynix continued to escalate this week. On Thursday, Apple announced a price increase for several products, including MacBooks and iPads, due to soaring memory prices, and issued a statement saying it "can no longer protect consumers." Following the announcement, Apple's stock price plummeted, wiping out approximately $265 billion in market value.
The day before, Micron released an epic earnings report that far exceeded market expectations, causing its stock price to surge 13%. On the day of the earnings release, Micron CEO Sumit Sadana reminisced about past glories, implying that Apple had used its negotiating power to drastically lower prices during the last industry downturn, severely weakening the company's ability to invest in production capacity and sowing the seeds of the current severe memory shortage. Apple's price-cutting behavior led to huge losses for suppliers like Micron and SK Hynix in 2022 and 2023, while Apple profited over $16 billion during the same period through its pricing strategy for different iPhone storage capacities.
Market analysts point out that the long-standing feud between Apple and memory chip giants, coupled with Apple's forced price increase, may indicate uncertainty surrounding their long-term cooperation. On the other hand, Apple has proactively sought alternatives: lobbying the Trump administration to include Chinese companies like Changxin Memory in its supply chain. Analysts suggest this is Apple's most realistic solution at present , as they urgently need Chinese DRAM and NAND production capacity to counter the rising influence of competitors like Huawei and maintain Apple's market share in China and globally.
Public information shows that Changxin Memory Technologies Co., Ltd. is about to be listed on the Shanghai Stock Exchange's STAR Market with a valuation of US$500 billion. As a core DRAM enterprise in China, its current production capacity mainly supplies domestic customers in China. Its core customer base includes AI chip startups such as Alibaba Cloud, Huawei, and Cambricon, as well as terminal manufacturers such as Xiaomi and Lenovo . Currently, the company's products focus on general-purpose DRAM, while rapidly shifting towards HBM (Hardware-Based Memory) to support AI computing power.
