Prometeus was originally designed as a data marketplace. The Prometeus data exchange, called Stoa, allows people to earn a return on their Labour by selling their personal data or saving it as a file. For example, it allows artists to earn rewards for followers who sell them original music, videos, images, etc. It is a decentralized, cross-level hub for big data (healthcare, finance, public, research, retail, marketing) and connects data providers in any industry to data consumers. Product called Ignite: a decentralized, firewall-proof microblogging service that provides an uncensored space for people to express their opinions even when they run counter to mainstream opinion. Ignite is completely community-driven and not centrally managed.

PROM is a native functional token within the Prometeus network and has the following use cases: Network Consensus: After Prometeus launches the main network, users need to pledge PROM tokens to run their PoSA network nodes and participate in network consensus and receive PROM tokens. Fee Payment: PROM tokens are also used to pay for service charges based on Prometeus applications. Currently available apps include Stoa, a decentralized data sales platform, and Ignite, a decentralized social network.

The protocol consists of the following components: Service node: Manages data storage and access rights in addition to protecting network security. Authentication node: Authenticates market data and assumes responsibility for payment. Data marketplaces: Secure searches for data stored throughout the network and provide consumers with purchasing rights.

Liquidity mining: After Prometeus has launched the main network, users need to pledge PROM tokens to run their PoSA network nodes and participate in network consensus and receive PROM tokens.

Like SKL, it uses binance smart chain. SKL uses DPoS as the incentive mechanism, while PROM uses PoSA.

Prometeus Network is a secure decentralized protocol for data exchange and storage, with programs that span multiple industries. At a high level, the protocol allows any entity to upload any type of data that it intends to sell through the protocol. Prometeus Network's main goal right now is to let people tokenize data on social networks and provide data-based analytics products. PROM acts as a governance token in the Prometeus network and is currently used for pledge and payment. Paying a service fee when using the Prometeus application supports the value of the token.
