The technology of Mask Network (Maskbook) project is mainly completed in two parts: 1. Account system and encryption; 2. 2. Open up various social software and browser plug-ins. The main technical hurdle was to get through the various social software and browser plugins. The project needed to build plugins through APIS on Twitter, Facebook and Chrome. Maskbook does not use any of the platform apis (Facebook & Twitter), nor does Maskbook use any of the offending Chrome and Firefox apis. The team has created a complete Polyfill library to implement and support all the functions and actions required by the Maskbook extension. This further ensures that the core functionality of Maskbook will not be affected by any API changes or blocking on the platform.
