According to Odaily, Russia's largest bank, Sberbank, plans to launch its crypto trading infrastructure and digital custody services by December 1st to support the regulated financial system. New regulations for crypto trading, custody, and settlement in Russia will take effect on September 1st, with requirements for licensed intermediaries applicable from July 2027. Public crypto trading in Russia will be limited to assets meeting strict liquidity and market capitalization thresholds, and the use of crypto assets for payments of goods and services within the country will remain prohibited.
