Chen Guilin's Trading Notes, August 31, 2026: 1. I sold my Niu Lai coin yesterday after news broke that it would be listed on Binance Futures, at 0.1. I didn't wait for the peak of 0.14. My initial intention with this coin was to buy it and wait for it to be listed on Binance Futures. Now that task is accomplished, I've sold it. What happens after it's listed on Futures is no longer my concern. The first thing I did after selling was to remove it from my watchlist. Out of sight, out of mind, regardless of price fluctuations. 2. I also considered Marscoin-4:native. Since Niu Lai is listed on Binance, as one of the recent MEME duo, is there a possibility of a catch-up price increase? After all, missing out on the first and second dragons is the most common strategy in the crypto world. I think most people probably think like me: don't buy now, wait and see. Missing out just means not making money, but making a mistake means losing money. The first half is aggressive expansion, the second half is cautious protection. Yes, I define now as the second half of the first stage of the major trend from bear to bull. 3. Yesterday I was still saying in the community that since the bull market has started, it's appropriate to turn our attention back to secondary altcoins. I opened two coins to try it out. I went to sleep around 1 a.m. yesterday. To be honest, I was fine before I went to sleep, but when I opened my eyes this morning, the profits were gone. The difficulty of secondary altcoins lies in: ① Coin selection. First of all, you can't play altcoins monotonously. So I carefully selected two coins. Yesterday, one of the two coins I chose went up and the other didn't move. This morning, they were dynamically balanced. ② High volatility. They don't completely synchronize with Bitcoin's trend. They mainly follow the general direction, but have their own high volatility trading methods on smaller timeframes. 4. After the altcoins were dynamically balanced, I saw that Ethereum broke Friday's low, so I simply switched my position to open Ethereum. I'll discuss a broader framework in another post later; the above are just the details.
