dTelecom Now Live on Solana: To Advance Decentralized Real-Time Communication
UAE, Dubai – April 28, 2025 — dTelecom Now Live on Solana to Advance Decentralized Real-Time Communication
April 28, 2025 — dTelecom, a decentralized real-time communication (dRTC) platform, is officially launched on the Solana blockchain. The platform aims to revolutionize audio, video, and chat services by providing an open, scalable, and secure infrastructure powered by blockchain technology and AI integration.
dTelecom is building an open-source dRTC network with permissionless access for nodes and clients. It allows you to BUILD real-time voice, video, and chat interactions between your users and large language models (LLMs), OWN your resources and data, and EARN by contributing bandwidth. To ensure smooth operation, the system must maintain and update the entire network state multiple times per second. These updates must be secure—each node can only modify its own state, and some changes require consensus from a local quorum of nodes.
The network state consists of:
Nodes: For efficient media traffic routing, the current state and changes of every node must be accessible to all nodes and clients.
Clients: For accurate billing, each node must have up-to-date information about network usage by every client.
Despite the high throughput and low transaction fees of modern L1/L2 blockchains, they do not fully meet the demands of this use case. Traditional databases lack the security guarantees needed for a decentralized system.
Our solution leverages a Solana program as a key/value database with built-in access control. To achieve scalability, we use a decoupled Solana Virtual Machine (SVM) to process a massive volume of transactions and batch on-chain updates using MagicBlock’s ephemeral rollup technology.
Statements from dTelecom Co-Founders:
Petr Malyukov, CEO:
“The launch of dTelecom on Solana marks a major milestone for decentralized communication. We enable developers and users to build, own, and monetize real-time communication applications enhanced with AI capabilities. The era of mass adoption of blockchain technologies is through communication.”
Vadim Filimonov, CTO:
“From a technical perspective, we have overcome major challenges in scalability and security by combining Solana’s blockchain with innovative MagicBlock solutions in dTelecom. This enables us to deliver the high throughput and low latency essential for quality real-time communication.”
