Reserve Rights

Reserve is a decentralized, asset-backed stablecoin protocol with two tokens. It&rsquo;s designed to produce a stablecoin that is as censorship resistant as BTC. The mainnet version of Reserve has not launched yet.
RSR is the second token in the network, and upon mainnet launch will be the tokens used for some arbitrage transactions in the protocol. RSR holders will have the cryptographic right to purchase excess Reserve stablecoins (RSV) that accumulate in the Reserve smart contract from transaction fees and any appreciation of underlying collateral assets that back RSV.
The value of RSR also plays a role in stabilizing RSV in some edge cases. Say there are 100 collateral tokens each backing 1% of the value in RSV and one of them defaults (e.g. through an exit scam or the government freezes its assets). The protocol mints and sells RSR to make up the difference, re-capitalizing the collateral pool from 99% back up to 100% again.

RSR co-founder and CEONevin is responsible for strategic, legal and team coordination for Reserve. Nevin is an entrepreneur who has co-founded three companies. RSR co-founder and CTOMatt is designing, analyzing, and overseeing the Reserve Stabilization Protocol and designing the implementation of the Reserve Protocol. Previously, he did engineering work for Google, Quixey, and Linux Standard Base(IBM); His graduate research at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is program analysis.

Matt Elder

Protocol formulation Jesper is designing a reserve stabilization protocol. He is also analyzing the landscape of stablecoin competitors. After receiving his Ph.D. in theoretical philosophy from The University of Mayo, he spent four years researching methodology for the Institute of Philosophy.

Cathleen, chief financial officer, oversees Reserve's finances. Prior to that, She was chief Operating Officer of Leverage Research and Paradigm Academy. She has also held various operational positions in the congressional office of former Representative Dennis Kucinich, the Jane Goodall Institute and Amnesty International.

Recruitment and Operations Mark is engaged in recruitment as well as legal and finance practices. He holds a J.D. from Harvard Law School and previously worked in the global securities practice group of a major New York law firm.

Protocol formulation Taylor is working on protocol design. Previously, he worked in analytical chemistry and bioinformatics infrastructure at Impossible Foods and in data engineering at Google.

Taylor Brent

Operations Manager Erika manages operations, including customer service and finance. She previously managed operations at Leverage Research and Paradigm Academy. She also has several years of experience coaching softball at the Level I and II collegiate levels.

Erika Campbell

GC and Compliance Officer Matt are working on Reserve's legal strategy and making sure the team is fully compliant. Previously, Matt co-founded Digital Asset Research and worked at Milbank, Promontory Financial Group, Earnest, and Venmo. He holds a JD/MBA from the University of Southern California and a BACHELOR's degree in Economics and history from the University of California, Los Angeles.

Matt Gertler

Product owner Josh is designing the Reserve application to allow users to access the protocol. Previously, he was director of Product Management at Credit Sesame and co-founder of Selfless and The Big Moose Deli Country Store.
